SAN JOSE, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Viptela, the Software-Defined Wide Area Network (SD-WAN) company, today announced its Secure Extensible Network (SEN) for SD-WAN platform has achieved certification with ADVA Ensemble Orchestrator for Network Functions Virtualization (NFV). This integration enables carriers and managed service providers to combine SD-WAN functionality from Viptela with other network functions, such as security, on a single customer-premise or data center device.
The ADVA Ensemble Orchestrator helps providers and operators achieve greater profitability through policy-driven automation for quick and reliable service creation, activation and assurance.
The Viptela SD-WAN platform opens up new opportunities for service providers by unifying WAN connections (MPLS, Internet and 4G/LTE), segmenting traffic, enabling Cloud transformation, providing zero touch provisioning and supporting application aware routing for enterprise customers. The platform’s technologies for virtualizing the WAN allow enterprises to modernize and optimize their infrastructure for agility and high performance. With ADVA certification, service providers can confidently deploy Viptela with ADVA to deliver SD-WAN at scale while implementing rapid and agile service innovation.
“We are pleased to be certified for ADVA Ensemble Orchestrator, which allows service providers and their enterprise customers to deploy SD-WAN with other network function virtualization capabilities,” said Paul Kohler, Director of Technology Alliances for Viptela. “This status will enable our partners to deliver NFV solutions using ADVA with complete confidence.”
The Ensemble Harmony Ecosystem enables ADVA partners to collaborate and advance NFV-based innovation. The program features the industry’s most comprehensive NFV offering with 14 categories of VNFs, giving CSPs complete freedom of choice for software, hardware and deployment location. Several new members are currently working with ADVA Optical Networking on proofs of concept and field trials in live customer networks. The partner ecosystem is the latest example of how ADVA Optical Networking’s Ensemble Division is leading the NFV field.
