SAN FRANCISCO--(BUSINESS WIRE)--PicsArt announced today the launch of Remix Chat— a messaging system where users can share images directly or in groups and edit them collectively for streams of funny, personal and/or momentous edits with friends, on iOS and Android. PicsArt, a leading image editing app and creative community, now has more than 85 million monthly active users, and sees upwards of 2.5 million uploads to the platform per day.
Today’s release is the second Remix feature from PicsArt. The company introduced Remix in May 2016, which gives users the ability to discover and remix (i.e. edit) images from trendsetters and creatives from around the world.
Starting today with Remix Chat, users can remix directly in conversation with one friend or a group (of up to 50 people) by sharing images and choosing from PicsArt’s wealth of tools and effects to edit them together. Tools include more than 10,000 stickers, customizable filters, photo overlay, text, clone/stamp, masks, double exposure, drawing tools, lens flares, a collage maker and AI-powered Magic Effects, which convert photos into virtual works of art. Don’t have an image, but still want to Remix with your friends? Not to worry. PicsArt has more than 6 million available Free To Edit images, which are free-to-use images on the network to choose and remix from.

To get started, download the latest version of PicsArt. Open the app, tap on the pink plus sign and select “Edit.” Choose your picture.
