QUINCY, Mass.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Shields Health Solutions, creator of specialty pharmacies for hospitals and health systems nationwide, today announced Dan Ramey has been appointed to Vice President of Strategic Development for the company. In his new role, Dan will oversee implementations at new hospital partners, optimize the performance of existing pharmacy programs and collaborate with business development regarding new partnerships. In addition, Dan is responsible for defining and operationalizing new strategic vertical markets and assessing viability of new opportunities.

Prior to joining Shields, Dan spent five years at Johnson & Johnson where he led product launches for novel sterilization devices. Dan worked for two years at L.E.K. Consulting in its pharmaceutical and life science practice where he served as a team leader who defined the strategic direction of engagements and managed the operational execution of case teams that performed research, executed data analysis and developed insights.
Dan holds a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from the University of California, Berkeley, and an M.B.A. from Harvard Business School.
