PHOENIX--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Apollo Education Group, Inc. today announced the completion of its acquisition by a consortium of investors including The Vistria Group, LLC and funds affiliated with Apollo Global Management, LLC. Under the terms of the merger agreement, Apollo Education Group shareholders will receive $10.00 per share in cash for both Class A and Class B shares. The closing of the transaction follows the approval of the acquisition by Apollo Education Group’s shareholders on May 6, 2016 and the receipt of all required pre-closing regulatory approvals, including by the U.S. Department of Education and the Higher Learning Commission.

In connection with the close of the transaction, Apollo Education Group’s Class A shares have been delisted from the NASDAQ Stock Market.
