OTTAWA, Ontario--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Shopify Inc. (“Shopify”) (NYSE: SHOP, TSX: SHOP), the leading cloudbased, multichannel commerce platform, announced that Shopify merchants selling in USD are able to add the Amazon sales channel to their Shopify account.
This previously announced integration, which was made generally available in December, is designed to seamlessly connect Shopify store owners to the millions of customers searching for products to buy on Amazon. Now merchants can conveniently manage their product catalog for their ecommerce website, retail store, Amazon store, and other sales channels all in one place.
“This is our first integration with an online marketplace. Our work with Amazon is an important step in strengthening our robust multichannel commerce strategy and the ability of our merchants to sell anywhere their customers buy,” said Brandon Chu, Director of Product at Shopify. “With an estimated 40% of Shopify merchants already selling in online marketplaces, Shopify has further simplified the processes to gain entry into Amazon.”
