Galvanize to Host All-Star Lineup of Tech Leaders at “How to Break into Tech” Event

PHOENIX--()--On January 11, 2017, Galvanize—the dynamic learning community for technology—will bring together distinguished technology leaders from local and national companies at an all-star educational and networking event. Technology game changers will share the stories of their journeys into the tech industry, and offer tips and advice about how to find a fulfilling career in technology.

Galvanize will host this “How to Break Into Tech” event from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. in the bustling Phoenix Warehouse District at Warehouse 215, just a few doors away from the new Galvanize Campus, scheduled to open February 13, 2017 at 515 E. Grant.

Phoenix Suns VP & Chief Information Officer Steve Reese will offer the keynote address, which will kick-off a panel discussion filled with technology luminaries who will share their inspiring stories and advice, and take questions from the audience. For this “Break Into Tech” event, Galvanize has harnessed the brainpower and diverse experience of CIOs, CEOs, founders and engineers from companies including PetSmart, Infusionsoft, WebPT, Coplex, Rare Labs, Picmonic, Palladium IT Advisors, SaaS Industries, Integrate and more.

“This is truly a killer lineup of technology superstars coming together in one place on one evening to share their invaluable career advice and to make their expertise available to guests,” said Galvanize CEO Jim Deters. “This is exactly the sort of gathering of talent and brainpower that makes the Galvanize ecosystem unique. We are committed to doing everything we can to help build Phoenix’s already thriving community of technology innovators and entrepreneurs. We couldn’t be more grateful for the support from the community.”

Panel topics will include overviews like: “The Phoenix tech scene: Why it’s hot and where the opportunities are.” And guest-panelists will share personal reflections on, “What keeps you up at night? And what do you wish you would have known then that you know now?”

Galvanize’s CEO, Deters, will talk about why Galvanize is thrilled to be opening in Phoenix and how anyone with the determination and drive, the ability and aptitude, can level up their career with Galvanize’s programs and community network.

Before the event, which begins at 5 p.m., guests will be offered the opportunity to take hard hat tours of the future Galvanize Campus, a beautifully designed tech space in the heart of the historic Phoenix Warehouse District, a redeveloping area where creativity and entrepreneurship thrive in a collection of vintage offices, art galleries, and one of a kind venues.
