LAS VEGAS--(BUSINESS WIRE)--(CES 2017)—Ayla Networks, a global Internet of Things (IoT) platform for manufacturers, today announced that Hisense, a multinational consumer technology manufacturer, is building its new Hi-Smart Air products on the Ayla IoT platform.
"Ayla’s IoT platform provides connected products with the top level of security, data privacy and interoperability for consumers today,” said David Friedman, CEO and co-founder of Ayla Networks. “By building connected products on the Ayla IoT platform, electronics companies demonstrate a commitment to modern industry standards and technologies.”
The Ayla IoT platform will provide Hisense Hi-Smart Air products with efficient connections to the cloud, secure software application control and the ability to sync with other connected smart home products. Hisense’s Hi-Smart Air air conditioning and dehumidifier products are SSL and AES 128-bit encrypted, and they feature Ayla’s role-based access control (RBAC) and time-based access control technologies.
The new Hi-Smart Air heating, ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC) product lines for 2017 are the:
- Hisense 10k and 14k BTU Portable Air Conditioner, which features an ultra-quiet compressor and cross-flow centrifugal fan design, in addition to its smart functionality.
- Hisense 70 pint Dehumidifier, which features a new low-noise airflow system and high-performance centrifugal fan for optimal noise reduction. Even in cold weather, this Hisense dehumidifier operates at temperatures as low as 38 degrees Fahrenheit, and it can be managed from anywhere with Wi-Fi or cellular data available.
“Consumers love Hisense appliances because they maintain a user experience with comprehensive, end-to-end, integrated technology,” said Mark Viken, vice president of marketing, Hisense Americas. “Our partnership with Ayla means that our consumers have more access to these types of products than ever before. Through joint relationships such as these, Hisense will continue to bring the latest appliance technologies and high-quality products to consumers at incredible value.”
