(NYSE:GMRE) (the “Company” or “GMR”), a Maryland corporation engaged primarily in the acquisition of licensed, state-of-the-art, purpose-built healthcare facilities and the leasing of these facilities to leading clinical operators with dominant market share, announced today that on December 20, 2016 it closed on the acquisition of three rehabilitation hospitals for an aggregate purchase price of $68,093,000. The three hospitals are HealthSouth rehabilitation hospitals in Mesa, AZ, Altoona, PA and Mechanicsburg, PA. On November 30, 2016, the Company announced that it had entered into purchase contracts to acquire these hospitals.
