SAN FRANCISCO--(BUSINESS WIRE)--RiskIQ, the leader in digital threat management, today announced the appointment of cybersecurity industry veteran, Scott Gordon, to the position of Chief Marketing Officer (CMO). In this role, Gordon will be responsible for accelerating the company’s global go-to-market strategy, branding and sales enablement. RiskIQ allows enterprises to efficiently understand their digital attack surface and mitigate cyber threats outside the firewall across web, mobile and social channels.
“Our company continues to attract high caliber industry talent, and Scott's leadership, creativity and experience will play an instrumental role as we grow our market presence and further sales momentum,” said Elias Manousos, co-founder and CEO of RiskIQ. “We welcome Scott to our executive team and look forward to expanding our market footprint and providing our customers best-in-class solutions to overcome external threats.”
Gordon’s appointment follows a number of recent milestone announcements for the company including a $30.5 million Series C funding led by Georgian Partners, double-digit sales growth and customer expansion, and designation as a leader in The Forrester Wave™: Digital Risk Monitoring, Q3 2016.
“As companies innovate web, social and mobile means to engage with their customers, partners and employees, threat actors will prey on business exposures and brands to capture user’s trust, access credentials and sensitive data. This requires organizations to extend their security programs to monitor and mitigate threats outside the firewall,” said Scott Gordon, chief marketing officer at RiskIQ. “RiskIQ’s platform and market opportunity are extremely compelling. I am excited to be a part of this new digital defense transformation and look forward to contributing to RiskIQ’s team.”
Gordon brings more than 20 years of industry experience and accomplishments in global tech marketing to RiskIQ, having consistently designed successful strategies, achieved results and built organizations for many well-known cybersecurity brands. Previously, he was CMO at ForeScout Technologies where he developed strong positioning, visibility and an aggressive go-to-market strategy that helped propel the company as leader in network access control and security orchestration. He has also held executive and management roles at AccelOps (acquired by Fortinet), Protego (acquired by Cisco), Axent (acquired by Symantec) and McAfee.
