NEW YORK--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Just in time for the holidays, but ideal for any occasion, Crumbs Bake Shop announced today it will now offer catering and delivery service throughout the NYC Area. In addition to its specialty of the house Crumbs Signature size cupcakes, the Crumbs catering menu includes breakfast, cookies and cakes. NYC-based customers can place catering orders from one of Crumbs’ nine Manhattan locations, to be delivered door-to-door.
The catering menu features cakes that serve anywhere from six to 125 people, sweet treats such as brownie bites and butter cookies, and breakfast items including croissants, scones and muffins. Perfect for office meetings, birthday parties, family gatherings and other events where sweet indulgences are desired, volume discounts are available on Crumbs’ new catering options.
“The rollout of catering and delivery services was a direct response to customer demand,” said Chief Operating Officer Martin Azambuya. “Loyal fans of Crumbs always come into the bake shops and tell us how great it would be if we could deliver to their offices for meetings or to their homes for birthdays or family gatherings. We are answering that request.”
In addition, Crumbs is introducing handmade, pre-packaged in-store Kosher lunch options at most of its Manhattan locations. The ‘Fresko Fresh’ lunch menu includes items such as the Fresh Mozzarella Sandwich, Rustico Sandwich, Greek Wrap, BBQ Black Bean Fajita Wrap, Bowtie Pesto Pasta Salad and Organic Quinoa Salad. These lunch items are not a part of the catering program and are available in-store only at most Manhattan locations.
“Crumbs’ signature cupcakes are what customers have grown to love over the years, and that’s not changing,” said Azambuya. “We will continue to indulge our fans with wall-to-wall deliciousness of cupcake varieties and elegant baked goods at our shops. But now they can drop in for a savory lunch as well, and shop for their favorite cupcakes at the same time.”
Crumbs originally opened its doors in 2003 and began diversifying its menu to expand beyond traditional cupcake goods after being bought in 2014 by Fischer Enterprises, which also owns Dippin’ Dots, maker of iconic flash-frozen ice cream beads, and Doc Popcorn, the world’s largest franchisor of fresh-popped, kettle-cooked flavored popcorn. As of January 2016, Palermo Bakery, based out of Little Ferry, New Jersey, became Crumbs’ NY Area bakery partner.
