WASHINGTON--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Retired Major General Lawrence “Wayne” Brock III, U.S. Army, most recently Commanding General of the 311th Signal Command (Theatre) and United States Army Pacific (USARPAC) Deputy Chief of Staff, G-6, joined the Klas Telecom Government Board of Directors this month after 36 years of military service. Throughout his distinguished career, Maj. Gen. Brock specialized in U.S. Army Signal communications where he became an expert in his field through a variety of technical and leadership positions. His posts included platoon leader, company commander, systems engineer officer, telecommunications signal officer, director of communications, and commander of three different theater signal commands where he was responsible for providing and defending critical communication, network and information services throughout an entire region and its joint coalitions.
Maj. Gen. Brock’s experience makes him well suited to serve on the Board of Directors for Klas Telecom Government Inc., a company responsible for the U.S. federal and defense sales of the corporation’s ground breaking, low size, weight and power (SWaP), deployable communications systems. Maj. Gen. Brock joins a notable group of directors including retired Major General Mark “Droopy” Clark, USMC, who last served in the capacity of commander for the Marine Corps Forces Special Operations Command (MARSOC).
“We are very honored and excited to have Maj. Gen. Brock serve on our board,” Klas Telecom Government President and CEO Dave Huisenga said. “I am confident that he will add great value in helping us deliver timely, relevant solutions to aid the U.S. Army in their goal of providing the best communications equipment possible to soldiers and operators on the ground.”
Before becoming Commanding General of the 311th Signal Command (Theatre) and USARPAC Deputy Chief of Staff, G-6, Maj. Gen. Brock served in a number of diverse Signal assignments from company, battalion and brigade command to Commanding General of the 359th Theater Tactical Signal Brigade, 335th Signal Command (Theatre) Forward (Kuwait), and 335th Signal Command (Theatre) (East Point, Georgia). In addition, Maj. Gen. Brock served overseas as the Director of Communications, CJ6, Headquarters, Combined Forces Command-Afghanistan; Director of Signal Integration, ACSE-A, in support of Operation Enduring Freedom; and ARCENT Deputy Chief of Staff, G-6.
