TYSONS CORNER, Va.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Octo Consulting Group (Octo), an award-winning provider of technology and digital services to the federal government, today announced that it has been awarded a multi-million dollar Task Order on the General Service Administration’s (GSA) Alliant Small Business (ASB) contract in support of the GSA Integrated Award Environment (IAE) modernization effort.
The IAE is a Presidential E-Government initiative managed by GSA that melds the cloud, open source technologies, security, agile programming, and a DevOps deployment model to create the award management platform of the future. IAE uses innovative processes and technologies to improve systems and operations for those who award, administer, or receive federal financial assistance (i.e. grants, loans), contracts, and intergovernmental transactions. As part of GSA's Federal Acquisition Services (FAS), the IAE is helping the government move toward a more data driven, common services platform that provides a more technically efficient, secure, and improved user experience.
“This contract continues to showcase Octo’s digital services capabilities in helping GSA IAE to modernize the entry point that joins up anyone seeking to do business with, or on behalf of, the federal government,” said Mehul Sanghani, CEO, Octo Consulting Group. “We are confident in our ability to build out this new solution, and provide a first-class user experience that seamlessly connects to the business of government and serves as a ’one-stop shop’ for all stakeholders participating in the federal awards process. We are excited and honored to advance IAE’s modernization effort.”
Octo’s contract scope is to design and develop the key functionalities of Federal Business Opportunities (FBO), the Electronic Subcontractor Reporting System (eSRS), and the Federal Funding Accountability and Transparency Act (FFATA) Subaward Reporting System (FSRS) for the future SAM.gov environment. FBO serves as the single Government-wide Point of Entry (GPE) for federal agencies and contractors for federal procurement opportunities, while eSRS and FSRS serve as important data collection tools for GSA.
Octo will provide rapid development, testing, information security, training, and user support activities for all FBO/eSRS/fSRS modernization efforts. This work includes utilizing a DevOps approach to expedite the automated testing and promotion of code including user experience wireframes/mock ups, user interface development, microservices and API development, and reporting enhancements for the IAE.
The contract has a five-year period of performance, with a 10-month base period and four option periods.
