CrowdStrike Strengthens Executive Team by Appointing Jerry Dixon as CISO and Rod Murchison as VP of Product Management

Industry leaders to drive security best practices, technology innovation and platform growth

IRVINE, Calif.--()--CrowdStrike, the leader in cloud-delivered endpoint protection, today announced that the company has appointed Jerry Dixon as chief information security officer (CISO) and Rod Murchison as vice president of Product Management. This strategic expansion will support CrowdStrike in meeting the exponential global demand for the CrowdStrike Falcon™ platform while continuing to heavily invest in innovation and category leadership.

Jerry Dixon previously served as vice president, Cyber Threat Intelligence and Incident Response at American Express where he spearheaded the creation of forward-looking strategies to operationalize threat intelligence and prevent breaches. Dixon has over two decades of cybersecurity experience on the front lines of incident response, cyber crisis management, national cybersecurity policy, and critical infrastructure protection.

Previously, Dixon has held multiple leadership positions at top tier security companies and government agencies, including director-level positions at the Department of Homeland Security National Cyber Security Division and United States Computer Emergency Readiness Team (US-CERT). Dixon is considered one of the foremost industry experts on risk mitigation, incident response, and proactive security.

As vice president of Product Management, Murchison is responsible for driving product strategy and technology innovation, as well as ensuring CrowdStrike products, pricing and packaging create excellent value for CrowdStrike customers and partners.

Murchison previously served as vice president of Product Management for Tripwire. Under his leadership, Tripwire captured significant share in the security and vulnerability management market and exited with a successful acquisition by Belden.
