Evidation Health and Brigham and Women’s Innovation Hub Join Forces to Measure Real Life Impact of Digital Health Solutions

SAN MATEO, Calif. & BOSTON--()--Brigham and Women’s Innovation Hub (iHub) and Evidation Health announce a collaboration to measure the real life impact of digital health solutions on clinical and economic outcomes.

This strategic relationship combines the unique strengths of each organization to quantify the impact of digital interventions across a wide range of therapeutic areas. The affiliation brings the clinical expertise and research capabilities of Brigham and Women’s Hospital together with Evidation Health’s capabilities to enable efficient, publishable, direct-to-patient trials of digital health solutions.

Evidation Health’s solution helps companies find answers to research questions rapidly and rigorously, combining innovative participant recruiting capabilities, online consent and enrollment, and real life data collected through hundreds of applications and devices. This real life data is analyzed alongside traditional health data to quantify the impact of digital interventions, at entirely new levels of scale for clinical research.

Brigham and Women’s Hospital conducts important clinical studies in many therapeutic areas. By collaborating with Evidation Health, the hospital’s investigators will be able to accelerate clinical trials for digital health solutions. Through adoption of proven digital health solutions, Brigham and Women’s iHub is building the digital health system of the future.

“We are in an exciting time where hundreds of digital health solutions are emerging in the market—however, the big challenge for the healthcare sector is to collectively generate and share evidence of their impact. Our partnership with Brigham and Women’s Hospital iHub is driven by this important objective of quantifying impact and determining what actually works for patients,” said Deborah Kilpatrick, PhD, CEO of Evidation Health.

“We're excited to work with Evidation Health to test the impact of digital health solutions on patient outcomes. Research is core to our mission at Brigham and Women’s Hospital and we are committed to evaluating digital health solutions and adopting those that have the most impact and meet our needs,” said Lesley Solomon, MBA, Executive Director of Brigham and Women’s iHub.

Brigham and Women’s iHub, launched in the fall of 2013, fosters innovation, collaboration and translation of technology to benefit patients and improve care delivery. The iHub team works with scientists, clinicians and hospital administrators to solve hospital challenges through digital health. iHub develops and nurtures relationships with innovative organizations to identify collaboration opportunities for co-development, piloting or creating new technologies.
