BRUSSELS--(BUSINESS WIRE)--ExxonMobil and Jinming Machinery (Guangdong) Co., Ltd. are collaborating at K2016 to demonstrate a 5-layer polyolefin dedicated (POD) stand-up pouch packaging film, formulated with Exceed™ XP – when eXtreme Performance matters -- at the Jinming booth (Hall 17/A03) on Superex machine technology.
“Having worked with Jinming for a number of years helping to provide high-quality film polymers, this latest collaboration has resulted in them becoming one of the first OEMs in the Asia Pacific region to offer a reliable, affordable step-in 5-layer film solution,” said David Zhu, film application senior engineer, ExxonMobil Chemical.
“The success of the collaboration is demonstrated by the fact that we have broadened our markets into international regions beyond Asia Pacific,” said Mars Ma, general manager, Jinming. “And this extrusion machine demonstrating at K2016 has been sold and will be shipped to an important customer in Mexico.”
Exceed XP performance polymers enable converters to cost-effectively produce extremely damage resistant film to protect and preserve food products with high integrity packaging from production to consumption. The polymers deliver films with exceptional toughness, very high dart impact, aged property retention, and sealability, including low seal initiation temperature. The melt strength and toughness of Exceed XP allows the production of thin films which can reduce material use, while maintaining package integrity.
