2016 Red Hat Government Symposium to Highlight Open Source's Role in Government Digital Transformation

12 speakers from government agencies to address IT security challenges

(NYSE: RHT), the world's leading provider of open source solutions, today announced the agenda for its 2016 Red Hat Government Symposium, to be held on November 2, 2016 in Arlington, Va. Open source is an important part of government-wide initiatives to modernize government IT and speed innovation with agile, cloud-native solutions and new digital services. At the 2016 Red Hat Government Symposium, more than 650 government technology and industry professionals are expected to come together to discuss open source's role in digital transformation and addressing key government IT challenges.

Under the theme, “Open first: building a foundation for choice and security,” the event will feature:

  • A keynote address on the government's digital transformation from Tim Yeaton, senior vice president of Red Hat's Infrastructure Business Group.
