BOSTON--(BUSINESS WIRE)--FIA announced that Hyannis Port Research (“HPR”), makers of Riskbot®, is one of 18 companies chosen to exhibit in the 2016 Innovators Pavilion at the Futures and Options Expo in Chicago on Oct. 18-20. Innovators Pavilion showcases startup and early stage companies providing forward-thinking solutions for the futures, options and cleared swaps industry.
“At HPR, we’re in a constant state of R&D to identify how Riskbot can continue to solve some of the most complex challenges facing the trading industry,” comments Anthony Amicangioli, CEO of Hyannis Port Research. “Innovation is the heart of our business so I’m delighted to be recognized by FIA for the work we are doing.”
HPR’s Riskbot enables firms to tackle the numerous compliance challenges facing the industry today. Through Riskbot, firms can run compliance checks across multiple markets, detect potential cyberthreats, inspect trades in real-time and stop bad trades before they occur.
“Progress in our industry is being driven by forward-thinking companies like HPR,” said Rob Creamer, FIA board member and chairman of the FIA Principal Traders Group, who chaired the Innovators Pavilion selection committee. “Through Innovators Pavilion, FIA is forging networks between pioneering startups, a diverse community of market participants, and venture capitalists focused on FinTech.”
With more than 5,000 people attending each year, the FIA Expo is the largest gathering of derivatives industry professionals in the world. Attendees include senior executives from brokerage firms, exchanges, trading firms and service providers, and the exhibit hall typically attracts more than a hundred firms as exhibitors.
HPR and other Innovators were selected on the basis of applications that were submitted and reviewed by a committee of industry experts assembled by FIA.
