CHANHASSEN, Minn.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Bremer Trust, the special administrator for the Prince estate, announced today that new Paisley Park social media accounts will be launched on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram for millions of Prince fans around the world, as Paisley Park prepares to open for its first day of public tours tomorrow, Thursday, October 6.
The Facebook page Facebook.com/OfficialPaisleyPark, the Twitter account @PaisleyPark, and the Instagram account Instagram.com/OfficialPaisleyPark will be the online hub for fans worldwide, enabling fans to honor and celebrate Prince by sharing their memories, photos and videos. Fan artwork will have its own dedicated digital hub called “The Fence,” located on the Official Paisley Park Facebook page as a Facebook tab, which will showcase and memorialize extraordinary art created and shared by fans around the world. Fans can go to Facebook.com/OfficialPaisleyPark starting today to submit their own original artwork and to see artwork and tributes created by fans and admirers of one of the greatest and most beloved artists of all time.
What fans had initiated on their own after Prince’s passing this past April by bringing their artwork and tributes to the actual fence at Paisley Park is now being transformed into “The Fence,” a next generation, permanent, virtual fence, enabling all fans worldwide to participate and experience the creativity, originality and heartfelt devotion embodied in these works of art inspired by the life, legacy and music of Prince.
In addition, a dedicated exhibit space at Paisley Park will feature a physical fence where some of the creative tributes left by fans will be displayed. Fans also have the option to send their artwork to the attention of the Paisley Park Archives for possible inclusion in the exhibit at a future date. Artwork in the exhibit space will be rotated over time to show the wide variety of unique and creative tributes. More details, including mailing address to send artwork, can be found on the new Facebook page here.
The new Paisley Park social media accounts will also capture opening week activity as Paisley Park opens for tours starting tomorrow with a temporary permit for tours on October 6, 8 and 14. Prince fans will take an unprecedented tour of the legendary, 65,000-square-foot production complex, studio and creative oasis. The tour will take visitors throughout the extensive main floor of Paisley Park, including recording and mixing studios where Prince recorded, produced and mixed most of his biggest hits, video editing suites, rehearsal rooms, Prince’s private NPG Music Club, and a massive soundstage and concert hall where Prince rehearsed for concert tours and held exclusive, private events and concerts. The tour will also feature thousands of artifacts from Prince’s personal archives, including iconic concert wardrobe, awards, musical instruments, artwork, rare music and video recordings and concert memorabilia. This will be an unprecedented and extraordinary opportunity for fans to experience first-hand what it was like for Prince to create, produce and perform inside this private sanctuary and remarkable production complex, which is also considered one of the greatest landmarks in the music world.
While tickets for the initial three days are sold out, Paisley Park is working closely with the Chanhassen City Council on their traffic and zoning concerns, and remains committed to giving Prince’s countless fans the opportunity to visit in the coming weeks and months. Further information will be forthcoming. For Paisley Park updates, sign up for the email alerts on the website homepage, follow @PaisleyPark on Twitter and like Official Paisley Park on Facebook.
