MINNEAPOLIS--()--America has asked for it and the DQ® system is delivering it.

The Dairy Queen® system’s social media properties have been buzzing with accolades for its famous $5 Buck Lunch value meal, with thousands of fans requesting that the brand expand the meal to an all-day offer. So at participating DQ and DQ Grill & Chill® locations, the $5 Buck Lunch deal is now an all-day offer for a limited time through Oct. 31st.

“Our fans demanded it and we listened. This is a game-changer for our fans and anyone who wants the best lunch deal all day long,” said Barry Westrum, Executive Vice President of Marketing for American Dairy Queen Corporation (ADQ). “We’re giving fans the freedom to choose to eat our $5 Buck Lunch at any time: for lunch, dinner or as an afternoon or late night snack. It’s value all day every day.”

Launched in 2013, the DQ $5 Buck Lunch is considered lunch’s best deal with the offer of an entrée, crispy regular fries, a 21 oz. beverage and a world famous DQ sundae. During the $5 Buck Lunch All-Day offering, fans have a choice of entrée including a deluxe cheeseburger made with a 100 percent beef patty topped with melted American cheese crisp lettuce, thick-cut tomato, sliced onions, ketchup, mayo and pickles or the 3-piece chicken strip meal with all-white meat chicken strips. Fans also can upgrade from the $5 Buck Lunch sundae with a small Blizzard® Treat for $1.

The DQ $5 Buck All-Day Lunch limited time offer is supported by national advertising and a social media campaign. In fact, the TV commercial highlights a tweet from “Megan,” a die-hard DQ fan who asks why she can’t get a $5 Buck Lunch for dinner. Now she, and all of America, can.

“We had some fun with the commercial, but the message is clear,” Westrum said. “The DQ brand is very popular on social media and we take great pride in listening and responding quickly. Our fans are so engaged that we are mentioned once every eight seconds on social media. So here’s to our fans and to having all of America saying, ‘Let $5 buck freedom reign.’”
