Jetico’s solution to wipe hard drive data has been validated by ADISA by erasing beyond forensic recovery information stored on a sample of traditional hard disks, as well as solid state drives (SSD) which have a unique architecture presenting some challenges to data erasure.

The forensic tests carried out by Professor Andrew Blyth, Head of Information Security at the University of South Wales, validate the ability of BCWipe Total WipeOut to overwrite user data (LBA-0 to LBA-MAX), Device Configuration Overlay (DCO) and Host Protected Area (HPA) to protect from forensic attack equivalent to Test Level 1 of the ADISA Threat Matrix.
ADISA tests also verified BCWipe Total WipeOut for secure erase of SSD. During the certification process, Jetico’s wiping software successfully erased beyond forensic recovery all data stored on the following solid state drives:

- Kingston 240GB SSDNOW 300
- Samsung SSD850 EVO (mSATA) – 120GB
