NewsCred Named One of the Country's Best Workplaces in Advertising & Marketing; Hires Experienced Global SVPs in Sales and Customer Success

Global brands including Visa, Fidelity, New York Life, Jockey, HP and Asus added as customers in the last year

NEW YORK--()--NewsCred, the world’s leading content marketing platform, is pleased to announce that consulting firm Great Place to Work® and Fortune magazine have named it one of the country's 10 Best Workplaces in Advertising & Marketing in 2016. The 10 Best Workplaces in Advertising & Marketing is based upon employee survey feedback.

NewsCred received the Great Place to Work® and Fortune ranking in 2015 as well, contributing to the company attracting significant hires to continue to exceed customer expectations. Cliff Dorsey joined NewsCred in April as Senior Vice President of Global Sales and Roger Orde joined as Senior Vice President of Global Customer Success in June. As the definitive leader in enterprise content marketing, NewsCred also welcomed global brands including Visa, Fidelity, New York Life, Jockey, HP, and Asus as customers in the last year.

“As NewsCred matures, we’re not just a fast growing company, but now also a very good business. Having experienced professionals like Cliff and Roger join NewsCred is indicative of the direction that we are taking as a company,” said Shafqat Islam, CEO and co-founder, NewsCred. “With their expertise and focus on solutions and customers, we will be able to grow exponentially while continuing to provide exemplary service to our customers as we scale. We're the dominant player in a massive category; we will continue to lead the industry aided by Cliff and Roger’s experience and execution.”

Orde, who joined as SVP of Global Customer Success, most recently held the role of VP, Global Customer Success and Education for Vancouver-based Hootsuite, where he helped the company capitalize on the huge rise of social media for business. During Orde's tenure at Hootsuite, the company grew from a sub-$600 million valuation to over $1 billion and from 425 employees to more than 800. Orde will be responsible for continuing to scale NewsCred's global customer success and education programs while helping the company expand into new markets and deliver the value customers seek.

“The pace of innovation and change in marketing technology is astounding,” Orde said. “Social media was arguably the biggest marketing trend over the last five years, and now content automation is taking up that mantle. Content automation naturally complements social media. I’m excited to be on board as NewsCred continues to dominate content marketing and ensure that our customers enjoy an exceptional experience using our solutions, software and services.”

Dorsey, who joined NewsCred as SVP of Global Sales, is responsible for sales execution, go-to-market strategy, business development, and revenue growth to support the growing market demand for the company’s solution. Dorsey has over twenty years of sales leadership experience and has held multiple sales leadership roles at Parametric Technology Corporation (PTC), Invodo, Medallia and eight years at LivePerson where he was instrumental in the company’s growth from $17M to $168M in revenue during his tenure. Prior to his corporate career, Dorsey served on both active duty and the reserves as an Army Officer.

“NewsCred is a great company with an outstanding team, culture, and product that is focused on becoming the dominant leader in the content marketing space,” Dorsey said. “I have worked at several high-growth SaaS businesses in the past and NewsCred presents a unique opportunity to help our customers transform their businesses and relationships with their customers.”
