SAN FRANCISCO--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Revel Systems, the world's leading iPad Point of Sale management solution for brick-and-mortar retail, food businesses and more, today announced its continued partnership with Intuit QuickBooks Point of Sale to launch Salon and Grocery vertical solutions.
Following the success of QuickBooks Point of Sale for both Retail and Restaurants – which are products powered by Revel Systems – Intuit expands its iPad POS offering to two new verticals as a result of increased demand from salon and grocery store owners and operators looking to stay competitive by incorporating the tools and technology they need in order to start, run and grow their small business.
“We’re excited to expand our partnership with Intuit and continue to both power and support small business owners and entrepreneurs,” said Lisa Falzone, co-founder and CEO of Revel Systems. “With the addition of new features such as integrated scales for grocery store owners and appointment scheduling for salons, we’re making the lives of business owners easier and more efficient.”
New Features for QuickBooks Point of Sale for Salon:
- Appointment Scheduling: Book appointments for customers or allow customers to request appointments online.
- Add-On Services & Products: Customers can pay for add-on products or services together with their booked appointments.
- Employee Management: Assign employees to specific services and setup commissions on each product for individual employees.
New Features for QuickBooks Point of Sale for Grocery:
- Integrated Scales: Use scales to check out customers for items that sell by weight, such as fruit and vegetables. These scales integrate directly to POS without double entry.
- Price Embedded Barcode Labels: Print barcode labels with the final pricing based on weight of item, which can be picked up by the barcode scanner.
“QuickBooks Point of Sale for Salon and Grocery not only address the unique needs of small businesses in important verticals, but also ensure they never lose a sale and have all the industry-specific tools they need to thrive,” said Karen Peacock, senior vice president of small business at Intuit. “By integrating with QuickBooks Online, these new iPad POS solutions allow salon and grocery store owners to focus on running their business, rather than worrying about their books, with automatic data transfers and instant insights.”
