SAN JOSE, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--MapR Technologies, Inc., provider of the industry’s only Converged Data Platform, today announced that CellOS Software Ltd., the fast-growing provider of software solutions for the communications, industry has deployed the MapR Converged Data Platform. CellOS will leverage the innovative features in the MapR Platform with Apache Drill and Apache Spark to offer its customers real-time data streaming applications to optimize the monetization of mobile broadband.
As the data flowing in broadband networks continues to grow at breakneck pace, communication service providers (CSPs) are growing increasingly aware of the value of this data. CellOS will utilize the MapR Converged Data Platform to enable CSPs to extract meaningful data in real-time, gain significant insights from the data, and identify revenue-generating opportunities.
“We view MapR as an ideal partner that fits our focus on providing real-time solutions for a streaming database,” said Kamlesh Patel, the CEO of CellOS Software. “With impressive scaling and performance, the MapR Platform helps us offer an even more powerful and unique solution in the market for real-time applications. This really is a new era for us.”
CellOS will use the unique enterprise-grade features in the MapR Platform, such as its NoSQL database MapR-DB, with the schema-free analytics capabilities in Drill and the real-time streaming of Spark. CellOS will also deploy the Zoomdata stack to provide visual analysis of big datasets in seconds. The integration of these technologies enables CellOS to extract meaningful data in real time and quickly gain significant insights from data to create new revenue opportunities for customers.
“Due to our real-time price performance envelope, the MapR Platform will create added value to CellOS’ already impressive offering,” said Martin Darling, APAC vice president, MapR Technologies. “CellOS selected the MapR Converged Data Platform for its streaming architecture, allowing data to be processed as it arrives. Additionally, the cost of reliable storage will become a key component of the big data business case as data volumes continue to grow tremendously.”
In the future, CellOS plans to extend its next generation real-time analytics platform to other industry verticals beyond telecommunications.
