EDEN PRAIRIE, Minn.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Today C.H. Robinson announces the release of Navisphere® Carrier, a new mobile app designed to support contract motor carriers and their business – no matter where they are. As a leading third-party logistics (3PL) firm, C.H. Robinson continues to deliver industry-changing technology for its customers and contract carriers. The new app is expected to immediately improve the access of the current users of the company’s former app, CHRWTrucks®, and provide access to the tens of thousands of loads C.H. Robinson books daily.
Perhaps more importantly, this on-demand technology –built with contract carriers for contract carriers – was developed to support the more than 50,000 small carrier businesses C.H. Robinson works with. The technology is available on Apple and Android mobile devices, enabling carriers to run their businesses in ways that matter most: accessibility wherever and whenever they need it, increased connectivity to their drivers and C.H. Robinson, expanded planning capabilities and expedited payment processes.
“We recognize that time is money to our contract carriers. And with the streamlined workflow we provide through the Navisphere Carrier mobile app, we expect to help our contract carriers reduce the amount of time they spend booking loads and submitting updates,” said Kevin Abbott, vice president of North American surface transportation, truckload. “Through this app, we are helping contract carriers find and secure loads more quickly, thereby helping them meet their business goals.”
The app gives greater functionality of C.H. Robinson’s single global technology platform, Navisphere, to contract carriers. Navisphere enables carriers to support the world’s supply chains and is connected to the company’s carrier representatives who work with contract carriers to move North America’s Freight.
“We are excited to release this industry leading app accelerating our carriers’ advantage. We are focused on extending our technology ecosystem to drive increased efficiency and functionality for our customers and contract carriers,” said Chad Lindbloom, chief information officer.
The Navisphere Carrier app is available now for free in the App Store and Google Play. For more information on the technology, please visit C.H. Robinson’s website.
