Malala Yousafzai Confirmed to Speak at 2016 World Business Forum

Education activist and Nobel Peace Prize winner added to the 2016 speaker roster in New York City, on November 17-18, 2016

NEW YORK--()--WOBI, the leader in management and leadership conferences, has announced the addition of Malala Yousafzai to their 13th Annual World Business Forum speaker roster. Yousafzai will participate at the Forum via teleconference in front of thousands of international executives who will attend the forum to explore the concept of consistent innovation as strategy: ‘Be Beta’.

Malala has been campaigning for the rights of girls to receive an education since she was 10 years old. Her passion has led her to be attacked by the Taliban, and then recovered to continue her fight. She set up the Malala Fund – which is dedicated to help promote education for girls throughout the world. In addition to the Nobel Peace Prize, Malala was also named one of ‘The 100 Most Influential People in the World’ in 2013 by TIME magazine and honored with Amnesty International’s Ambassador of Conscience award. She is the winner of Pakistan’s first National Youth Peace Prize, the Sakharov Prize for Freedom of Thought and Conscience, the International Children’s Peace Prize, and the Simone de Beauvoir Prize. She is also the author of the international bestseller I Am Malala, which has been published in over 27 territories.

This year’s conference theme is “Be Beta” and brings together a dynamic roster of speakers whose startups, designs and insights have changed the business landscape. Yousafzai joins a world-class lineup of World Business Forum speakers, including: Alan Mulally, former CEO of Ford Motor Company; Andre Agassi, tennis champion and philanthropist; Amy Cuddy, social psychologist and Harvard Business School professor; Daymond John, founder, president and CEO of FUBU and co-star of ABC’s Shark Tank, among others.

The 2016 event is being held at the David H. Koch Theater at Lincoln Center. The venue is home to some of the world’s most renowned performances and is designed to optimize the attendee experience.
