Ninth Annual National Security Symposium: “Offset Strategies to Prevail Against Asymmetric Threats”, Sponsored by Association of Old Crows, CACI, and Center for Security Policy

Invitee Registration Now Open for September 22, 2016

ARLINGTON, Va.--()--CACI International Inc (NYSE MKT: CACI) announced today that the ninth symposium in the critical Asymmetric Threat symposia series on national security challenges, titled “Offset Strategies to Prevail Against Asymmetric Threats,” is scheduled for September 22, 2016. Sponsored jointly by the Association of Old Crows (AOC), CACI, and the Center for Security Policy (CSP), the symposium will build upon its timely and increasingly relevant discourse on the escalating global threats facing the national security of the United States. The symposium will take place at the Gannett Conference Center in McLean, Virginia.

This non-partisan, not‐for‐profit event is part of the Asymmetric Threat series, established in 2008 by CACI as a forum for furthering the national dialogue on how to address complex asymmetric threats to national security. The previous symposium focused on the role of cyber, electromagnetic spectrum dominance, and electronic warfare measures to defend the United States. A catalog of past symposium reports and recommendations by distinguished symposium speakers and panelists is available at asymmetricthreat.net. This year’s symposium will focus on offset strategies to prevail against asymmetric threats to U.S. national security and will include the following confirmed speakers: Lt Gen Robert J. “Bob” Elder Jr., USAF (Ret), LTG Michael T. Flynn, U.S. Army (Ret), RADM Michael C. Manzir, USN, The Honorable Dr. Jamie M. Morin, Lt Gen Robert P. “Bob” Otto, USAF, Jody Westby, Esq., and Dr. Greg L. Zacharias.

This symposium is by invitation only. Registration for invitees is now open at asymmetricthreat.net.

David Hime, President of the Association of Old Crows, said, “The AOC is once again very proud to partner with CACI and the Center for Security Policy to co-sponsor this vital forum on defeating Asymmetric Threats. It is very clear that electronic warfare, electromagnetic spectrum control and cooperative strategies between EW and cyber will all play critical roles in the Department’s third offset strategy. Innovative solutions in these fields to achieve autonomous, cognitive and distributed capabilities will yield an unmatched and adaptive advantage in the face of such asymmetries – and this year’s ninth symposium is an essential component of the important discourse on offset strategies.”

According to CACI President and Chief Executive Officer Ken Asbury, “The Asymmetric Threat symposia series advances discourse on the most complex, irregular national security challenges that CACI’s customers face every day. Providing customers with the innovative capabilities they need to meet these challenges is the core of our business. And facilitating the asymmetric threat discourse furthers our commitment to advancing sophisticated strategies to counter escalating national security threats worldwide.”

Frank Gaffney, President and Founder of the Center for Security Policy, said, “This asymmetric threat symposium series has been, from its inception, one of the most thought-provoking and illuminating forums of its kind. This year's promises to be one of the best ever.”
