SECAUCUS, N.J.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--My Imports USA announced it has acquired TAG brand from Procter & Gamble. TAG was launched in 2005 by the TAG Fragrance Company and later became a part of Procter & Gamble through its acquisition of The Gillette Company. “We are excited to have TAG as a part of our family of brands and our go-forward strategy to own and market well-known brands,” said Fahim Ibrahimi, Chief Executive Officer of My Imports USA.
TAG, which at one time boasted a 20% market share of the U.S. men’s body spray business, was the number 3 best selling men’s Body Spray brand. In 2009, TAG launched its Signature Series that featured different celebrities endorsing the product on its packaging. TAG is well-known for its popular fragrances that included: Midnight, Wild Card, Lucky Day, After Hours, All Nighter, Make Moves, Get Yours, Spin It, and Step Out.
My Imports USA will continue to market TAG deodorants and expand the franchise to include new and innovative deodorants, antiperspirants, body sprays, body washes, hair washes, and other men’s grooming products. We anticipate shipping the new TAG items early Q1 2017.
