SAN FRANCISCO--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Giveback Homes, the premier real estate platform and community for social good announces today a new partnership with real estate referral network, ReferralExchange. With over 17,000 agent members, ReferralExchange is one of the fastest-growing referral services in real estate. Giveback Homes has seen rapid adoption across real estate brokerages and this new relationship creates another way to expand the work of building homes for people in need.
The relationship between Giveback Homes and ReferralExchange began when ReferralExchange contributed to a networking event that raised money for building projects in El Salvador. “We had heard about Giveback Homes from some of our member agents,” says Scott Olsen, ReferralExchange CEO. “Once we met Blake and Caroline and the Giveback team we saw the potential to do more. Our first build day will be held in Sacramento.”
As part of the new partnership, current Giveback Homes member agents will receive a ReferralExchange submit license. ReferralExchange will also donate $100 for every closed agent-to-agent referral, up to $20,000. The goal is to raise enough money to host the build day in Sacramento and build 3 houses internationally. ReferralExchange will also sponsor one-year Giveback Homes memberships for a number of their top performing agents. Memberships provide Giveback Homes members with marketing services, branding, and an easy avenue to funnel donations directly to build projects around the world and in their local communities.
Giveback Homes was founded with the goal of bringing a new giving model to the world of real estate. Founded by former employees of Toms, Giveback Homes saw an opportunity to infuse social responsibility into the real estate industry. The company has grown rapidly over the past two years and has built over 60 homes in areas where housing is desperately needed including Nicaragua, Haiti and El Salvador.
“We are so honored to work with ReferralExchange and salute their innovative technology/white glove service approach to real estate,” said Blake Andrews, Founder, Giveback Homes. “When we got to meet them we discovered a team with great heart and energy. Together we will be able to achieve a mutual goal of changing lives for the better.”
Giveback Homes makes social good personal and individual by sharing the stories of the real people and families who are receiving life-changing homes. Through fun events like build days, network-and-give parties, and fitness classes with SoulCycle, Giveback Homes has been able to raise money and build awareness for the ways that the real estate industry can make a real difference.
Currently, there are 20 Giveback Homes Build Projects in the U.S. and Nicaragua in partnership with Habitat for Humanity, with many more planned for 2016 and beyond. Giveback Homes recently partnered with Union Rescue Mission to help the homeless living on Skid Row in Los Angeles, and New Story Charity to build homes in El Salvador and Haiti. The Giveback Homes membership model includes packages for both individual agents, brokerages, as well as real estate technology and service providers.
