Salar TeamNotesTM is chosen by Bay Area Hospitalist Associates

SAN FRANCISCO & BALTIMORE--()--Bay Area Hospitalist Associates, Inc. (BAHA) has adopted Salar Inc’s. flagship software TeamNotesTM and TAP to enhance clinical efficiency and charge capture through advanced digital documentation.

TeamNotes will transition BAHA from a combined paper and electronic documentation process to a consolidated and consistent electronic documentation and charge capture process across its entire customer base regardless of care setting. More accurate and complete documentation will both enable BAHA to provide better services to its clients and capture detailed documentation to support its own insurance billing needs under more stringent ICD-10 coding standards that go into effect in October of 2016.

“We couldn’t be more excited to be partnering with BAHA, one of the more rapidly growing physician service provider organizations in this market. As payment models shift from pay for performance to new bundled payment models in healthcare, we expect more hospitals to partner with organizations such as BAHA who provide Acute Care as well as Long-Term and Post-Acute Care services,” said Dan Schiller, President of Salar. “With more legible and comprehensive documentation, physicians can provide a more complete and compliant story about the care delivered to improve care through better communications at shift change, better notes for the entire care team and more meaningful communication at transitions of care. Billers will also be able to leverage clinical notes to improve accuracy of charge capture.”
