SAN FRANCISCO--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Wizeline, a leading provider of intelligent product strategy and roadmapping software announced the acquisition of Wize Services, a software services provider. Companies such as News Corp, Yahoo!, Nuance and Wandera utilize Wizeline to identify the biggest market needs, collaborate on product ideas and accelerate the delivery of innovative digital technologies and solutions. This acquisition significantly expands the capabilities available to Wizeline’s customers, giving them access to proven technology and expert, full-stack product development teams.
Founded in 2015 with its main operations in Guadalajara, Mexico, Wize Services designs, develops and delivers complete digital products, and has teams dedicated to distributed systems, machine learning and personalization technologies. The team also has expertise in iOS and Android development. Key to the company’s success has been its pod-based services model, which Wize Services created from product management best practices and proven agile development methodologies.
A “full-stack” pod includes the core functions required for modern product development: engineering, user experience (UX), project management, testing and documentation. The approach offers high-growth startups and established enterprises a scalable model for effective product development, and allows for the transfer of knowledge and best practices from Wizeline to their own teams.
Wize Services has successfully worked with companies in the media, travel, retail, healthcare, and finance industries to quickly deliver products that are key to new digital strategies. “We’ve been astounded by the demand for our services,” said Matt Pasienski, the CEO of Wize Services. “Our approach focuses on products, not projects. As a result, our teams don’t just write code — they deliver outcomes.” Recent projects have involved machine learning and big data, infrastructure, personalization, as well as mobile apps, bots and messaging services.
Wizeline will continue to sell its product management platform individually or as part of a larger solutions engagement, through which Wizeline will provide platform subscriptions and services. “Using Wizeline’s software, our customers apply a data-driven approach to digital strategy, product prioritization and roadmapping — but in many cases, shortfalls in talent have prevented them from delivering,” added Bismarck Lepe, founder and CEO of Wizeline. “By combining the two businesses and expanding our commitment to growing the Guadalajara tech community, we can now offer an integrated solution for both product strategy and execution.”
Following the acquisition, Wizeline will have over 110 employees and aims to grow to over 200 by the end of 2016. The transaction is an all-stock deal and will immediately make venture-backed Wizeline cash-flow positive. This acquisition positions the business to be profitable by the end of 2017.
