PARIS--(BUSINESS WIRE)--The filly La Cressonnière swept to victory in the Prix de Diane Longines, the world's top race for fillies, in view of more than 45’000 enthusiastic spectators at the Chantilly racecourse on 19 June 2016. To celebrate this fantastic performance, Christian Demuro, who rid the champion of the day, the owner and the trainer received The Longines Master Collection watch from the Swiss watch maker Longines, the Title Partner, Official Timekeeper and Watch of the event for the 6th time. The raceday in Chantilly is also famous for being the rendez-vous of elegant ladies. Amongst them, Alexia Masseron won the “Mademoiselle Diane par Longines” prize. She was presented a Longines DolceVita, which was the Official Watch of the event, from the hands of Longines Ambassador of Elegance and Asian movie star Eddie Peng.
Moreover, amongst the nine races which unrolled in Chantilly, the Prix Longines Future Racing Stars and the Prix de La Reine Marie-Amélie Longines are dear to the Swiss watchmaker. These two races put in the spotlight the remarkable skills of young jockeys from all around the world and lady riders of the International Federation of Gentlemen and Lady Riders (FEGENTRI), of which the Swiss brand is the Official Partner and Watch. The brand had thus the great honor to award The Longines Master Collection watch as well as a school bursary to Conor Mcgovern from Ireland, who crossed first the finishing line on Fawley. Debora Fioretti riding Palang was the winning lady rider.
