Joy Beland of Pink Hat Technology Management Recognized as One of CRN’s 2016 Women of the Channel

Well Respected, Sought-After IT Security Partner for Small Businesses, Joy Beland Named to CRN’s Prestigious 2016 Women of the Channel List

LOS ANGELES--()--Joy Belinda Beland, President at Pink Hat Technology Management, a sub division of LA IT Girl, Inc., was named to the prestigious 2016 Women of the Channel list by CRN®, a brand of The Channel Company. The women executives who comprise this annual list span the IT channel, representing vendors, distributors, solution providers and other organizations that figure prominently in the channel ecosystem. Each is recognized for her outstanding leadership, vision and unique role in driving channel growth and innovation. CRN editors select the Women of the Channel honorees on the basis of their professional accomplishments, demonstrated expertise and ongoing dedication to the IT channel.

“These executives have made a lasting mark on our industry—growing and elevating partner programs, leading transitions to new business models and introducing cutting-edge go-to-market strategies, among other remarkable achievements,” said Robert Faletra, CEO, The Channel Company. “We congratulate all the 2016 Women of the Channel and celebrate their singular contributions to the advancement of the channel ecosystem.”

As Managing Partner of LA IT Girl since 1998, Joy Beland has been providing network infrastructure support for small to medium businesses. The company has been bridging the gap between technology needs and business planning for clients. In mid-2015, Joy became President of Pink Hat Technology, and her focus on cyber security moved to the forefront. She secured her Security+ certification and is currently training with the FBI on Ethical Hacking, as well as testing and implementing many layers of new cyber protection for both her business and her clients.

Certified by Microsoft as a Silver-Level Competency holder with Small Business emphasis, Joy’s background and expertise in Office365 and all Microsoft Server solutions is sought after, especially in this day of consolidating on premise hardware into hosted cloud solutions.

“Exploring the channel and products for affordable solutions is an important part of what we do, especially in this age of cyber security focus,” said Joy Beland. “We never stop our own internal testing and research, so we have good solid solutions to bring to our clients. Technology changes so rapidly that the old tried and true vendors are not always hitting the mark today. I have used CRN as a resource for news and product information over the years, and the events calendar helps me to make sure I am not missing something important. So being honored with the 2016 Women of the Channel is meaningful.”

The 2016 Women of the Channel list is being featured in the June issue of CRN Magazine and online at www.CRN.com/wotc2016.
