Hunt, was awarded the Truck Safety Coalition’s (TSC) Distinguished Safety Leadership Award during the Underride Roundtable at the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety’s testing facility in Ruckersville, Virginia.
TSC is made up of Citizens for Reliable and Safe Highways (CRASH) and Parents Against Tired Truckers (PATT). Dedicated to reducing the number of deaths and injuries caused by truck-related crashes, TSC provides compassionate support to truck crash survivors and the families of truck crash victims. TSC also educates public policy-makers and media about truck safety issues.
Received by Woodruff, the award recognizes his outstanding and longtime dedication to improving truck safety. John Lannen, Executive Director of the TSC, praised Woodruff for his own personal commitment to promoting safe driving and advancing truck safety throughout his 28-year career with J.B. Hunt. However, Woodruff was quick to credit J.B.
