Security Innovation Announces Special Pricing on Quantum Resistant NTRU

WILMINGTON, Mass.--()--Security Innovation announces this week that they will be offering limited time, special pricing for their NTRU crypto algorithm. NTRU is a lattice-based public key cryptosystem, making it resistant to all known quantum computer attacks. First published in 1996, NTRU is the most battle-tested and efficient quantum resistant algorithm available today. Offering encryption, decryption, and signing, it has been adopted as an IEEE 1363.1 and X9 Standard for financial systems.

Now through October 1, 2016, customers can obtain a perpetual, division-wide license to use NTRU in server-side TLS applications for a price of US $50,000. That’s 67% off the normal $150,000 license cost.

And there is no charge at all for client-side TLS applications!

“The potential impact of quantum computers being able to break RSA and ECC encryption will be devastating to the integrity of the internet and all of the code and data that runs through it,” warns Pete Samson, Senior Vice President and General Manager of Security Innovation’s Embedded Division. “Without an evolution to quantum resistant crypto, we can no longer trust that our information isn’t being intercepted and compromised or that anyone we exchange information with is who they say they are.”

Replacing RSA and ECC with a quantum safe algorithm is not an easy task and will take time. This is likely the reason that the NSA is already alerting businesses, so that remedial action can be taken before the existential threat of quantum computers becomes a reality.

Organizations should already be considering a cryptography transition plan based on a reliable, quantum-resistant solution. That is where NTRU comes in.

NTRU delivers substantial performance and size advantages over RSA and ECC, making it ideal for mobile and embedded applications. pqNTRUsign is the signature algorithm that accompanies NTRU.

NIST calls NTRU " the most practical...smallest key size...highest performance" of the quantum resistant lattice-based algorithms.
