HERNDON, Va.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Dell Services Federal Government (DSFG) announced today it has received the Federal Risk and Authorization Management Program (FedRAMP) authorization for its cloud offering. This indicates that DSFG’s multi-tenant cloud platform, Dell Cloud for U.S. Government (DCG), has met the security standards and requirements in accordance with the Federal Information Security Management Act (FISMA).
FedRAMP is a government-wide program that provides a standardized approach to security assessment, authorization, and continuous monitoring for cloud products and services. Through the review of the Joint Authorization Board (JAB), this certification grants DCG a FedRAMP Provisional Authorization to Operate (P-ATO). Key delivery partner InfusionPoints, LLC has been instrumental in helping DCG achieve P-ATO by developing and delivering DCG operations, security and compliance. The Third-Party Assessment Organization (3PAO) for DCG, responsible for testing security controls, briefing the JAB, and continuous monitoring, is JD Biggs & Associates Inc.
“This is an exciting time for us - not only because we met the comprehensive requirements and standards of FedRAMP – but we are now even more confident in serving our federal customers and their move to cloud adoption. Our offerings in cloud help federal agencies respond to changing demands, accelerate transition to agile IT environments with security visibility and above all gain efficiency and become future-ready,” said George Newstrom, president and general manager of DSFG.
DSFG helps agencies accelerate and migrate to future-ready IT platforms. DSFG’s array of cloud offerings, including the multi-tenant DCG, DSFG’s private and custom cloud offerings, and virtualization and managed services, are readily scalable, on-demand services that give agencies the flexibility and control to meet fast-changing workloads, while maintaining compliance and security.
Dell’s portfolio offers organizations choice with an open, flexible, scalable and end-to-end approach regardless of where customers are on their cloud journey. Dell’s cloud portfolio spans extensive hardware and software solutions, financial programs and a broad range of cloud services including those provided by DSFG. Dell Services also today manages the world’s largest healthcare cloud with more than 10 billion medical images managed and secured on Dell’s Unified Clinical Archive.
