10x Genomics Announces Commercial Availability of Single Cell 3’ Solution at the AACR Annual Meeting 2016

Company Shipping Reagents On-Order for the Now Available Single Cell 3’ Solution in Advance of the Full Chromium™ System Availability Anticipated for Q2-2016

PLEASANTON, Calif.--()--10x Genomics, a company focused on improving and broadening the application of genomic information, today announced the commercial availability and first product shipments of their new Single Cell 3’ Solution, ahead of the ChromiumTM System launch anticipated for Q2-2016. The company began shipping the Single Cell 3’ Solution early to meet demand from early adopting customers.

Data from the Single Cell 3’ Solution for immunological research applications will be presented by Dr. Cole Trapnell, Ph.D., Assistant Professor in the Department of Genome Sciences at the University of Washington. Dr. Trapnell is an expert in immune cell differentiation, reprogramming and cell-cell communication, and will present his results during a webinar entitled, “Analyzing immune cell communities on a massive scale with single-cell RNA-Seq,” hosted by Nature Publishing Group on Thursday, April 21, 2016. Interested parties can register for this webinar at www.nature.com/webcasts.

This is the first commercially available product announcement in a series of anticipated product releases for the 10x Genomics Chromium Platform, a suite of instrument, product and software solutions which together provide a transformative upgrade for existing short-read sequencers. The Chromium System unlocks critical long-range genomic and cell-by-cell gene expression information and supports multiple applications, including comprehensive workflows for Single Cell, Genome and Exome applications.

The company will be presenting scientific data for cancer research applications of the Chromium System, including results for cancer Genome, Exome and Single Cell Solutions, in three presentations during next week's American Association for Cancer Research (AACR) Annual Meeting 2016 taking place April 16-20 in New Orleans.

About 10x Genomics

10x Genomics is changing the definition of sequencing by providing an innovative genomics platform that dramatically upgrades the capabilities of existing sequencing technologies. This is achieved through a combination of new microfluidic science, chemistry and bioinformatics. By implementing GemCodeTM Technology within the Chromium System, researchers can now, for the first time, find new structural variants, haplotypes, and other valuable genomic information with comprehensive workflows for Single Cell, Genome and Exome applications that incorporate their pre-existing sequencing technologies.
