PAWTUCKET, R.I.--()--After more than 80 years of top hats, tokens, and passing GO!, the MONOPOLY brand and its iconic MR. MONOPOLY character celebrate World MONOPOLY Day, this Saturday, March 19. Fans around the globe will be given the chance to “own it all” as several iconic brands featured in the latest MONOPOLY EMPIRE game including Universal Parks & Resorts, Ford, Caterpillar, Billboard, Heinz Tomato Ketchup, Polaroid, TRANSFORMERS and more gather on social media and through special events to help MONOPOLY “Pass Go” and celebrate its 81st birthday.

Several global events have been organized to celebrate World MONOPOLY Day! Enjoy a special MONOPOLY-themed VIP experience during Universal Orlando’s Mardi Gras parade or join MR. MONOPOLY and his fans at Universal Studios Singapore as the theme park strives to break the World Record for the most people playing a MONOPOLY game in a single venue.

Fans can also dress up like the real estate tycoon along hundreds of fellow MR. MONOPOLY impersonators at the Patras Carnival in Greece or encounter MR. MONOPOLY in Asia at Ocean Park Hong Kong, China.

Fans are invited to join the fun by sending a happy birthday message to MR. MONOPOLY on social media using the top hat emoji, and #Monopoly, or visiting Facebook.com/Monopoly. They can also enjoy a peek at a day in the life of an international tycoon as MR. MONOPOLY takes over Entrepreneur magazine’s Instagram handle, @Entrepreneur, on World MONOPOLY Day.
