NEEDHAM, Mass.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--The Object Management Group® (OMG®), an international, open membership, not-for-profit technology standards consortium, is pleased to announce that the BPMN™ Model Interchange Working Group (BPMN MIWG) is holding its 4th BPMN interchange capability demonstration on March 16, 2016 at 13:30hrs (ET) and will be broadcast live via Google Hangout at https://plus.google.com/u/0/events/cg80hprss1qc751bgf5csp9pvf0. The demonstration will be co-located with the Object Management Group's quarterly TC meeting in Reston, VA from March 14-18, 2016.
This demonstration scenario will involve 11 different tools from nine BPMN software vendors collaborating to create a BPMN model and then have it execute on various BPMN engines. Confirmed participants in the demonstration include: Trisotech, Omny Link, Signavio, W4, Camunda, Softeam, BOC Group, Itp commerce and ESTECO.
“Organizations around the world are increasingly investing in capturing process models using BPMN. These capability demonstrations help guide end user organizations in selecting software vendors that ensure perenniality via interchangeability of these models,” said Denis Gagné, chair of the OMG BPMN MIWG and CEO/CTO of Trisotech.
BPMN provides a graphical notation and precise model for specifying business processes. It has been an OMG-adopted standard since 2005. The BPMN MIWG held its first successful interchange demonstration at OMG's June 2013 Technical Meeting.
