BUFORD, Ga.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Extra, extra, read all about it! 2nd & Charles, which specializes in trading books, video games, vinyl records, collectibles and more, is now open for business in Buford at 1705 Mall of Georgia Blvd. To celebrate its new location, the used-bookshop-meets-modern-marketplace concept will host a special grand opening event on Saturday, March 12. Festivities will begin at 10 a.m. and include “Star Wars,” “Frozen” and “Batman” character appearances, a gaming tournament, face painting and other activities.

As part of the grand opening festivities, shoppers can enjoy photos with costumed characters, family-friendly activities and a Nintendo gaming tournament. There will also be special prizes up for grabs! Five lucky guests will receive a $100 shopping spree to 2nd & Charles, and customers can enter to win a $500 gift card.
Event schedule:
- 10 a.m. – 12 p.m.: Meet and Greet character appearance with Elsa from “Frozen” and Batman; Free face painting and balloon art for children
- 11 a.m.: Kid’s storytime and activities
- 11 a.m. and 2 p.m.: “Star Wars” character appearances and photo opportunities
- 2 p.m. – 4 p.m.: Nintendo gaming tournament in The Arena
