SHI Expands Microsoft Professional Services with Acquisition of Eastridge

One of North America's top 15 largest IT solutions providers gains 18 Eastridge professionals in the deal

SOMERSET, N.J.--()--SHI International Corp. has acquired Microsoft services provider Eastridge in a deal that complements SHI’s extensive Microsoft volume licensing practice and bolsters its professional services offerings for technologies such as SharePoint, Office 365 (O365), and Azure. Eighteen employees of Eastridge’s professional services arm, including President Travis Hargett, will continue to operate out of Winston-Salem, North Carolina, as they help SHI customers deploy and support new Microsoft solutions.

The acquisition, finalized yesterday, expands and augments SHI’s professional services capacity. Eastridge complements SHI’s unmatched volume licensing expertise with broad experience in quickly and efficiently deploying Microsoft services, whether designing intranet pages in SharePoint, migrating to O365 with zero downtime, or moving datacenter networks and applications to Azure.

“Microsoft is one of SHI’s oldest, most valued, and largest partnerships. Already our number one partner in terms of revenue and transactions, Microsoft continues to rank among our fastest-growing top partners, experiencing double-digit growth every year,” said Thai Lee, President and CEO of SHI. “Incorporating Eastridge’s professional services with our existing Microsoft team will accelerate our ability to support that growth by providing the additional value and technical expertise customers want. Together with our new colleagues from Eastridge, SHI is better able to support customers as they select, acquire, and deploy Microsoft technology.”

Founded in 1998, Eastridge has been a Microsoft partner from its beginning. Serving as a true consulting company, Eastridge has worked with businesses of 250 to 10,000 employees to successfully deliver customer value with Microsoft-based solutions.

“SHI supports more than 17,000 Microsoft customers, including many Eastridge clients,” said Hargett. “As we assist those customers across SharePoint, O365, and Azure go-lives, we’ll also be looking at the broader opportunity SHI offers. While we’ve been primarily a Microsoft shop in the past, the depth and scale of SHI’s expertise means we can extend our value to customers by integrating their use of Microsoft technologies with hardware, networking, security, and data center solutions. SHI allows us to scale out our capacity to serve customers in a number of new areas that fit neatly into our expertise.”
