Cyphort and DB Networks Partner to Provide Full Spectrum Visibility

SANTA CLARA, Calif.--()--Cyphort, the next generation APT defense company, announced today that it has partnered with DB Networks, a leader in database cybersecurity. Through this partnership, Cyphort and DB Networks will offer customers full spectrum visibility from the desktop and network perimeter to deep in the database.

Cyphort’s Advanced Threat Defense platform will leverage event information from DB Networks’ Layer 7 Database Sensor to help increase fidelity on verdicts of malicious content. Both Cyphort and DB Networks leverage the power of machine learning coupled with behavior analysis, to provide detection that evolves with threats and protects against new zero-days, APTs and evasive attacks.

“Partnering with DB Networks further enhances Cyphort’s lateral capabilities,” says Anthony James, vice president of product and marketing at Cyphort. “Being able to integrate with Layer 7 Database Sensor, Cyphort gains access to database security alerts that provide additional information around a lateral spreading virus trying to exfiltrate data.”

Hackers are always trying to move and spread threats to as many locations as possible. From there, they typically look for escalated privileges for an attack on a database. Since the attack can be someone with database privileges, it is important to triangulate what the database is doing as well as the user. By combining these results, typically hidden threats become obvious.

"The combination of Cyphort and DB Networks provides enterprises with a comprehensive analysis of the kill chain," said Rami Shalom, vice president of product management at DB Networks. "Enterprises can now observe and mitigate risk throughout their entire infrastructure including risks effecting critical data assets, thereby focusing attention on the riskiest activities."

About Cyphort

Cyphort is the next generation APT defense solution for enterprise organizations. Cyphort provides a single pane of glass across perimeter and laterally moving threats, correlates threat signals before and after an incident, while eliminating noise from false alerts and red herrings. Cyphort has leveraged the power of machine learning and data science to build a next generation threat detection engine that evolves ahead of the threats. A virtualized deployment model combined with open API based integration allows customers to address APT security gaps across global locations while leveraging their existing investments in perimeter and endpoint security for threat defense. About DB Networks

DB Networks innovates database cybersecurity products. Its customers include the world’s largest financial institutions, healthcare providers, manufacturers, and governments. DB Networks non-intrusively assesses database infrastructures through deep protocol extraction, machine learning, and behavioral analysis. Analyzing application database conversations that deviates from the model of normal application behavior immediately identifies database attacks. With no signature files to deal with or endless false positives to chase down, operational support becomes trivial. DB Networks is a privately held company headquartered in San Diego, Calif.
