Grant Thornton expands national Financial Services Advisory practice

Johan Joseph joins as principal to enhance insurance and business consulting capabilities

CHICAGO--()--Johan Joseph has joined Grant Thornton LLP as a principal in the firm’s national Financial Services Advisory practice, based in Chicago.

Joseph has more than 25 years of management and advisory experience in the financial services industry. He has extensive experience in insurance, strategy formulation, relationship management, mergers and acquisitions, business development, banking, capital markets and investment management. In his new role, Joseph will support the growth of the firm’s insurance and business consulting offerings.

Most recently, Joseph was a managing director within the Strategy& Consulting practice at PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP. There, he focused on life and annuities, property and casualty insurance, retirement services and wealth management. Prior, he was a senior vice president at Aviva Investors North America LLC, where he was accountable for strategy development and key execution initiatives in the U.S. retirement and life insurance marketplace for the firm’s Investment Management and Life and Annuity business lines.

Joseph is a chartered financial analyst and a member of the Chicago Financial Analyst Society. He is also an accredited mortgage professional. He received a master’s of business administration degree in strategy and finance from the University of Chicago and a master’s degree in electrical engineering and a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering and economics from Northwestern University.
