ST. JOHN'S, Newfoundland and Labrador--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Bluedrop Learning Networks (Bluedrop) recently signed a five-year SaaS program with WorkplaceNL to configure its Bluedrop360 platform to help WorkplaceNL better manage health and safety certification training and help improve workplace safety in Newfoundland and Labrador. The first phase was delivered in just over four months.
Bluedrop360 unique capabilities have created a new product category, Integrated Skills Management (ISM). In this instance, the ISM platform was used to create WorkplaceNL’s Certification Training Registry (CTR), just launched in Newfoundland and Labrador. The final product provides a multi-dimensional online application which will eliminate paper and improve outcomes in mandatory worker safety certification training.
WorkplaceNL’s CTR enables over 260 approved training providers to publish their course offerings to an on-line marketplace; creating a one-stop shop for workers and their employers to register for the OH&S certification training they need to maintain legislative compliance. Each worker will have a secure personalized record of mandatory safety training that they can access online and easily share with their employer. Over 150,000 workers are expected to be on the system within a few years.
Workers and employers in Newfoundland & Labrador will access real-time certification training records through a smartphone or any web-enabled device. This allows them to effectively monitor expiry dates on required training, and ensure workplace compliance with OH&S legislation. A mobile app will be available early 2016.
“It is fulfilling to play our part in modernizing the way that safety certification training is tracked and managed. We are keen on bringing our solution to help other jurisdictions to optimize the way they keep workers safe.”
~ Emad Rizkalla, Founder & CEO, Bluedrop
