Hunter Ingram Appointed to Lead Business Development for EverQuote

CAMBRIDGE, Mass.--()--EverQuote Inc., operator of the leading online auto insurance marketplace in the U.S. uniting consumers and insurance providers, today named Hunter Ingram its Executive Vice President of Agency Business Development. Ingram will be responsible for leading the EverQuote Pro Business Development Team, charged with bringing more agents onto the platform. Last year the company announced that more than 5,000 agencies are already using EverQuotePro.

Ingram boasts a unique insurance background with extensive experience in both the local-agency distribution channel and the online insurance space. Ingram’s start in the industry came when he opened multiple scratch insurance agencies and won various awards for agency growth. Ingram co-founded HometownQuotes, a lead-generation tool for agents, where he established valuable industry relationships and insight.

“EverQuote’s unique position in the industry, coupled with Hunter’s capabilities and background, provides us the opportunity to create mutually beneficial partnerships that help local agents grow their business in a competitive online environment,” said John Tawadros, COO of EverQuote.

“EverQuote’s reputation in the industry as the only provider to source 100% of its own consumers is a powerful value proposition for agents both captive and independent,” said Ingram. “Its growth over the past 3 years is remarkable and I look forward to working with so many talented employees to move the industry forward and revolutionize the way agents market themselves online.”
