ST. LOUIS--(BUSINESS WIRE)--TierPoint, LLC, today announced the acquisition of AlteredScale, a Chicago-based provider of data center services including cloud, colocation and managed services. The 107,000 sq. ft. facility includes approximately 25,000 sq. ft. of data center space and has undergone extensive renovations and upgrades since being purchased by AlteredScale in 2011. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.

The acquisition is the tenth for TierPoint, LLC. On October 19, 2015, the company announced the signing of a definitive agreement to purchase Windstream Hosting Solutions. That transaction is expected to close this month. Upon closing both acquisitions, TierPoint will own and operate more than 525,000 sq. ft. of data center space in 19 U.S. markets.
