NEW YORK--(BUSINESS WIRE)--MOTION PT Group, Inc. (“MOTION”), a leading provider of physical therapy and occupational therapy services in New York, announced today it made three acquisitions last week. MOTION acquired:
- Dynamic Care Physical Therapy, Long Island, NY
- Greco Physical Therapy and Sports Performance, PLLC, with two locations on the North Shore of Long Island
- ProActive Physical & Hand Therapy, Bronx, NY
MOTION, formed in June 2015, is a portfolio company of Pharos Capital Group, LLC (“Pharos”). Terms of the transactions were not disclosed.
The three companies will become part of MOTION PT Group but will retain their individual brand identities. The principals of all three companies - Jaime Madden, president of Dynamic Care, Richard Greco, founder of Greco Physical Therapy, and Sean Sullivan, John O’Farrell and Ann Marie Feretti, partners of ProActive PT - will all join MOTION PT Group as will other employees of the three companies.

Lawrence, New York-based Dynamic Care Physical Therapy http://www.dynamiccarephysicaltherapy.com/ offers outpatient physical therapy services, treating patients with a broad spectrum of needs, including orthopedic sports injuries, post surgery, neurological disorders, low back pain, and vestibular issues. The well-established company’s western Long Island clinic is located inside Life Fitness Club, a full service gym and sports facility. The company was founded in 2007 by Jaime Madden DPT, who holds a Masters and Doctorate in Physical Therapy from Columbia University. She remains affiliated with Columbia University as an adjunct professor teaching Doctoral Physical Therapy students.
Greco Physical Therapy and Sports Performance (www.grecopt.com) has two locations on the North Shore of Long Island, in St. James and Greenvale, New York. The company delivers a one-on-one, hands-on approach to physical therapy treatments for orthopedic and sports injuries, through therapist-guided, individually designed, functional exercise programs using state-of-the-art equipment. Founder Richard Greco PT, ATC, CSCS is a graduate of Ithaca College with a degree in Physical Therapy and more than 20 years of experience. In addition, Mr. Greco is a certified Athletic Trainer, Strength and Conditioning Specialist, and TPI Golf Fitness Instructor.
ProActive Physical & Hand Therapy (www.proactiveptot.com), based in the Throgs Neck section of the Bronx, offers a variety of physical and occupational therapy services, including post-operative therapy, athletic training and geriatric programs stressing balance, muscle strengthening and fall prevention. The company also has a pediatric sensory gym where OTs and PTs provide therapy for children with injuries as well as developmental delays. In addition, ProActive offers certified hand therapists who work with traumatic and chronic injuries to the hand, wrist and elbow. ProActive is headed by its three founders, Sean Sullivan Adv, MSPT, ATC, an experienced physical therapist with an advanced degree in orthopedics and certified as an athletic trainer; John O’Farrell MSPT,ATC, an experienced physical therapist and certified athletic trainer who has completed multiple marathons; and Ann Marie Feretti Adv, MS, OTR/L, CHT, a certified hand therapist and occupational therapist.
