Centrify Extends its Cloud-based Identity and Access Management Service to Japan and Australia

Centrify meets growing demand by increasing cloud service hosting options in the APAC region

SANTA CLARA, Calif.--()--Centrify, the leader in securing enterprise identities against cyberthreats, today announced it now offers a Japanese- and Australian-based cloud service to meet the increased demand for its Identity and Access Management (IAM) solutions in the Asia-Pacific (APAC) region. The new data centers, along with Centrify’s pre-existing data centers in the region, extend the reach of the Centrify Cloud to better serve APAC customers and meet in-region data sovereignty requirements. The data centers also enable customers in the region to maximize the benefits of new Centrify product enhancements, such as Business-to-Business (B2B) and Business-to-Customer (B2C) support, also announced today. The expansion is significant for Centrify since Gartner predicts that by 2018 the Asia Pacific and Japan region will account for $11.5B in total cloud services spending.

The Centrify Cloud is the underlying Identity-as-a-Service (IDaaS) platform that powers the industry’s first integrated identity and mobility management solution — Centrify Identity Service (CIS) — and the industry’s first privileged identity management (PIM) solution delivered as a cloud-based service — Centrify Privilege Service (CPS).

“Centrify is the first company offering a cloud-based IAM solution to open a service region in both Japan and Australia, and offer in-region data residency,” said Bill Mann, chief product officer of Centrify. “Centrify secures enterprise identities against cyberthreats that target today’s hybrid IT environment of cloud, mobile and on-premises. This is critical in an increasingly active world, where the leading point of attack used in data breaches is compromised credentials.”

As users access work applications from the cloud and their mobile devices, Centrify Identity Service reduces cost and complexity through a single solution for identity and enterprise mobility management. The solution provides a broad set of capabilities to enable single sign-on (SSO), provisioning and multi-factor authentication (MFA) for SaaS, on-premises and mobile applications, as well as policy and device management for mobile platforms and Macs.

Centrify Privilege Service complements and extends the broad set of capabilities for identity consolidation, privilege management and privileged session auditing found in the flagship Centrify Server Suite by providing shared account password management for servers, network devices and Infrastructure-as-a-Service (IaaS). In addition, CPS addresses security and audit requirements for the management of both cloud-based and on-premises access to critical production systems and applications by remote employees and third parties ― all without the hassle of a VPN. The net result is a comprehensive and tightly integrated privileged identity management solution available today that not only increases security and simplifies compliance, but is also built to span both cloud and data center infrastructure.

For organizations that need a best-in-class IDaaS solution, but desire locally based servers, Centrify leads the industry with an expansive global cloud offering that meets data sovereignty requirements. Centrify’s new Japanese- and Australian-based data centers join other Centrify data centers located in the U.S., Europe, Singapore and Brazil.
