AUSTIN, Texas--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Blue Goji®, a wellness technology company, has launched its Goji Play 2 fitness game system for users of iOS and Android mobile devices. Goji Play® is now available for purchase in North America via BlueGoji.com for $119. Blue Goji is offering a holiday promotion of free shipping on all Goji Play 2 orders to physical addresses in the continental United States during the month of December 2015.
Based in Austin, Texas, Blue Goji developed Goji Play 2 with the primary goal of transforming cardio workouts at home and at gyms to be more fun, gameful and mindful. Each Goji Play 2 includes two portable controllers and two foam batons. With up to 20 free games (available for download in the Apple App Store and Google Play) to choose from – including racing, arcade, action, puzzles and trivia games – users will be able to play games based on their preferences and tastes. In addition, with the varying game play styles, users can adjust their cardio intensity accordingly. For example, playing a racing game (like Spin or Die) offers a more rigorous workout session compared to a puzzle game (e.g., Kreature Krunch). Finally, infusing gameful focus and concentration into cardio motion, Blue Goji believes that Goji Play sessions are not only more enjoyable, but also more beneficial than conventional distraction-based workouts.
“With the latest launch of the Goji Play hardware and the rollout of GojiVerse – our gamified wellness platform – we at Blue Goji have truly delivered on the promise of gamified wellness and health. We launched Goji Play 1 as a pilot in late 2013 and that served as our proof of concept,” said Coleman Fung, Blue Goji co-founder and chief executive officer. “Goji Play 2 will appeal to people of all ages and fitness levels. If you have good intentions, but need an extra incentive to start exercising or to stick to your training schedule, Goji Play is your answer. With our new Goji Moments feature, users can also share their best or worst game plays with friends and family, connecting with them in a fun, but caring way! What a perfect means for busy moms or dads to connect with their kids and get everyone off the couch!”
Fung added: “Blue Goji is focusing not only on healthy individuals who have already developed an active lifestyle, but also on a wider group of people who may need that extra push or incentive to get going. Our long-term goal is to improve the overall state of wellness and health of all Americans and to be a real ‘game’ changer,’ pun intended!”
