FORT WORTH, Texas--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Pier 1 Imports, Inc., the original global importer of home décor and furniture, is taking the holidays to new heights this year by creating a life-sized, pop-up book installation open to the public December 2 – 6, 2015 at 503 Broadway in New York City, as well as by creating an original, limited edition, holiday pop-up catalog.
To bring the life-sized, pop-up book to life, Pier 1 Imports transformed an open New York City storefront in SoHo into “Pier 1 Imports: Christmas Pop-Up Storybook.” At this immersive event, people will walk through a storybook to discover magical scenes and colorful vignettes from some of Pier 1 Imports’ favorite Christmas style stories, including Plaid Tidings, Frosted Noel, Home Sweet Holiday and Champagne Shimmer. As part of the installation, Pier 1 Imports teamed up with Mariah Carey, the Queen of Christmas and biggest-selling female recording artist of all time, to create a modern day holiday story featuring a nod to her iconic hit, "All I Want For Christmas is You.”

To help further inspire customers with endless possibilities, Pier 1 Imports also partnered with award-winning paper engineer Bruce Foster to create a limited edition, holiday pop-up catalog, since the Company’s new holiday trends just couldn’t be contained in a traditional book. The pop-up catalog highlights some of Pier 1 Imports’ favorite Christmas style stories and is being mailed to select customers.
