SHENZHEN, China--(BUSINESS WIRE)--LILLY + Associates International (LILLY) was recently granted its Class A forwarder’s license in China, joining the ranks of the largest global freight forwarders in the world who also hold this authority. The limited-issue broadened legal status allows the company to expand its China-based NVOCC service offering, broadening its in-house services to direct sales, carrier negotiation, and domestic mainland cargo movements.

The Class A license allows us to strengthen our services in the country and broaden our relationships with Chinese carriers and suppliers.”
Without a Class A license, foreign-based freight forwarders (even those possessing an NVOCC license), must outsource certain operational functions to local Chinese forwarders who hold such authority. Holding the license allows an increased scope of business for Wholly Foreign-Owned Enterprises (WOFE) such as LILLY.
